What we believe
Open hearts, Open minds, Open Doors

At Grace United Methodist Church, we believe that Christian faith is not a destination—it is a journey. Like a pilgrimage, faith is a lifelong spiritual trek without a final endpoint, a path of growth, discovery, and deepening relationship with God and one another. Along the way, we encounter challenge and adventure, questions and hope, all held together by God’s grace.

As United Methodists, we seek to live with open hearts, open minds, and open doors. We believe God’s grace is for all people, and that faith grows best in a community where everyone is welcomed, valued, and invited to belong. We take seriously John Wesley’s conviction that there is “no holiness but social holiness”—no Christian life lived in isolation. We are made to travel together.

On this journey, we encourage one another and build one another up. At times, one pilgrim carries the strength or joy another needs. Later, the roles may reverse. Together, we learn, serve, worship, and grow, trusting that Christ walks beside us every step of the way. We never walk alone.

Our mission flows naturally from this shared journey: to make disciples of Jesus Christ. We do this by nurturing faith, practicing love, and inviting others to join us on the road. Wherever you are on your journey—full of certainty or full of questions—you are welcome here. Please let us walk with you.
